Holy Spirit Parish will host the Most Reverend Robert E. Guglielmone and catechumens from the Charleston and Beaufort Deaneries on Sunday, March 1st at 3:30 p.m. for the Rite of Election. This ceremony includes the enrollment of names of all the Catechumens seeking baptism at the coming Easter Vigil; they publicly express their desire for baptism to the diocesan bishop. Their names are recorded in a book and they are called the Elect. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Sunday, August 4th beginning at 2pm outside the front doors. Many delicious dishes will be prepared and they are all homemade. (Stuffed Empanadas and Gorditas, Fruit Raspados and Esquites–corn on the cob with mayo, lime juice and chili powder). Proceeds support the Hispanic family retreat planned for the end of September.

Our Parish youth will be confirmed on Tuesday, May 21st at 7 p.m. in the church. The Most Reverend Robert Guglielmone will preside. A reception will be held afterwards in the Family Life Center. All parishioners are encouraged to attend and show support for these youths who are receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit which will help them in their life journey. We are collecting new or slightly used: long sleeved cotton T-shirts for men and women (all sizes); bandanas and hats; flat twin or queen sheets; and towels. We are also collecting new toiletries: toothbrushes, toothpaste, bars of soap, bug spray and sunscreen lotion. Donations will be accepted through May 15th.
