Our Guild makes prayer quilts for parishioners, and also their families and friends, as gifts. A prayer quilt is a quilt made with love and tied with prayers. Each knot tied into the quilt represents a prayer that is offered specifically for someone in need of those prayers. Once the ties have all been knotted, the quilt is given to the person in need.
We recently embarked on a new venture, presenting quilts to the St. Clare Home of Joyful Hope in Greenville. This home serves women who are pregnant and have no family to take care of them. These young women will each receive a quilt with our prayers for their well-being and that of their child. These women have chosen life over abortion. Our prayers of support and compassion will help strengthen them for their journey into motherhood.
Anyone can sponsor a quilt by contacting a member of the Connecting Threads Guild or the church office.
We meet monthly on the 1st Friday and 3rd Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Family Life Center.
