Calendar for the 2024-2025 School Year
Registration Form for 2024-2025
Overview
Children (Pre-K through 8th grade) who attend public school are provided the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of our Faith. The classes also support parents as they guide the religious development of their children. Children are given the opportunity to celebrate the sacraments and other events as a family. Special events include a children’s choir, brunch with St. Nicholas, and the Crowning of Mary. Classes are held Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. Contact: Beth Mathewes at (843) 830-7149 or Ana Tovar (español) at (843) 345-0021.
Catechists (Christian Formation teachers)
Volunteers instruct our public school youth in the Catholic Faith. They are committed to personal growth in knowledge and spirituality as they support parents in the development of each child. Volunteer requirements include being a registered parishioner and a faith-filled Catholic who loves children. In addition, each volunteer must complete the Diocesan program Safe Haven as well as successfully passing a background check.
Catholic School Education
Nativity Catholic School (Pre-K through 8th) located on James Island, is the diocesan school that our children attend. The children and their parents participate in parish life and our parishioners volunteer and support their social events.
