Attending Mass after the Pandemic

The CDC recently issued its first set of recommendations on activities that people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can safely resume.  As such we are changing our protocols here at Holy Spirit.  Beginning with the weekend of Pentecost,

  • Per CDC guidelines, those who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask indoors; however, those who are not fully vaccinated, should continue to wear a mask and social distance while indoors. We will continue to supply masks if needed.
  • We seat every pew in the main section of the church.  However, the transepts (the pews to the side of the altar) remain available for those who may wish to socially distance themselves from others.
  • The Communion procession has resumed.  If not receiving Communion, please cross your arms across your chest to receive a blessing.
  • If you are ill or experiencing flu-like symptoms, please do NOT come to Mass.  We livestream the Sunday morning 9:00 a.m. Mass for those who cannot (or should not) attend in person.
  • We are discontinuing the one time use worship aid and will resume printing the reusable trifold Order of Worship.
