Feeding the Multitude

This year, the 13th Annual Feeding of the Multitude will be a drive-thru event.  Each of the 600 families will receive the fixings for their Thanksgiving meal (uncooked ingredients to feed a family of four).  The drive-through bag pick-up will take place at St. John’s Parish Church’s Walton Hall, 3673 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island, on Nov. 21, 2020 from 12 to 3 PM.

We prayerfully request that our able neighbors contribute the following:

2 lb. bag of rice

1  (14-18 oz.) jar of turkey gravy

2  (14-16 oz.) cans of green beans

2  (14-16 oz.) cans of yams or sweet potatoes

1 box of Stove Top®  stuffing

1  (14-16 oz.) can of cranberry sauce or dressing

1 pkg of Kings Hawaiian®  dinner rolls

1 pkg of cookies or store-bought cookies

We greatly appreciate your contribution to the Drive-Thru Feeding of the Multitude.  While we are disappointed that we cannot serve cooked meals this year because of the pandemic, we are thankful that we can provide bags of food for people to cook and enjoy in their homes. We are also giving frozen turkeys with each bag of food and are still delivering meals to shut-ins.

Our parish goal is to fill 150 bags! Empty bags will be available starting Oct. 17th.  Grocery donations are requested back by  Sunday, Nov. 8th and may be left in the narthex of the church or in the Family Life Center. Please double bag the groceries and if you are able to purchase for more than one family, help us by keeping each order separate.
